Default Tension with Colombia

President Hugo Chavez has sent tanks to the border of Colombia and ordered the closure of the Venezuelan embassy in Bogota. The two countries' relationship has been deteriorating the last few months. The decision of president Chavez was made after it became clear that Colombia killed FARC leader Raśl Reyes while trespassing the border of Ecuador.

The tension is rising between the two countries. For those of you traveling in either Venezuela and/or Colombia please do follow the latest news.

Best wishes,

Mark
