Only 2 months

Hi

My name is Hera and I'm from Iceland.
Me and my friend are going to south america mid october - mid december and we want to travel from Rio to Colombia. We realise it's a really short time so I´m looking for ways to minimize the travelling time (on buses) but still do it as cheap as possible.

So does anyone know where would be best to fly between cities and what is the cheapes airline?

And does anyone have a suggested itineary?
I'm thinking Rio - Buenos Aires - Salta - La Paz - Cuzco - Lima - Quito - Bogotá - Caracas.

Would that work and how would you reccomend to travel between those places?

Your itinerary looks just fine. You'll not have time left for other attractions if you only have 2 months.
