Default Inca Trail adventure to Machu Picchu

Hiking the inca trail (camino inca) to the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu, the lost city of the incas, is a must do when you travel in Peru. When I was in South America travelers could still do the wonderful inca trail by themselves. So, I packed my stuff, catched the train, and embarked on a travel adventure that would be remembered forever.

You may have missed my story "The Machu Picchu Fire Disaster". It recounts what happened during those 4 days and I've posted unique pictures, believe me, I took while I was there.

One day I'll see Machu Picchu for real...

Best wishes,

Mark

If you want to combine a little volunteer work with a visit to Machu Picchu there is an interesting project on www.volunteerlatinamerica.com

Hi lowcostvolunteer,

Volunteer Latin America is a wonderful resource for those interested in volunteer work in Peru and other countries in South America.

Can you give some more details about this project?

Best wishes,

Mark

Default Rainy season in Machu Picchu

Hi deec,

The rainy season in Machu Picchu lasts from December to March. The weather is very unpredictable so you may still have the time of your life when you go to The Lost City of the Incas. Just try to go as soon as possible.

Keep us posted about your trip!

Best wishes,

Mark
