| I am planning a road trip through Central and South America. Since there is no way to drive from Panama to Columbia (as that would mean crossing quite a few miles of non-paved rainforest), does anyone know what the best way would be to get to Columbia from Panama? I would assume that I will probably have to ship my car by boat or something, but has anyone ever done this? Thanks |

| Hi James, Crossing the Darien Gap between Panama and Colombia will definitely be an adventure. I've not done this myself but found these excellent pages about crossing the Darien gap here and here. Hope this helps you further. Keep us posted about your Latin America travel adventure! Best wishes, Mark
