Hi Mark, I have been reading your story on how you travelled on the river boat from Trinidad to Guayaramerin and it looks absolutely amazing. I would very much like to do a similar thing. I am planning on going travelling next year and would like to go on a river boat also. Im just wondering how you travelled from Guayaramerin to the east coastline of Brasil? Do they have regular buses from Guayaramerin to either Salvador or Rio? And if so ive read somewhere that they take around 30 hours ish, but was unable to find a rough price anywhere? Any help would be appreciated Regards Tom |

Hi Tom, There are no direct buses traveling from Guajara-mirim to Salvador da Bahia (it's a very, very, very long way) as far as I know. I traveled from Guajara-mirim to Porto Velho and then to Cuiaba (that's where you can tour the Pantanal). From there I worked my way to Brasilia and on to Salvador da Bahia. I took my time doing this, spending a few days in each city. Best wishes, Mark
