Thumbs up 2014 World Cup in Brazil

Brazil has been named as the host nation for the 2014 soccer (football) World Cup. For the soccer lovers this will be by far the most thrilling event ever. Soccer is more than a sport in Brazil, it's a passion that lifts up the spirit every day.

Brazil have won the tournament a record five times and hosted the World Cup once before, in 1950, when they lost 2-1 in the final to Uruguay. It is the first time the World Cup is being held in South America since Argentina hosted, and won, the 1978 tournament.

I'm really looking forward to this World Cup and would love to see a Brazil-Argentina final, both countries featuring the best soccer players in the world. Samba and Tango. Robinho and Lionel Messi. It's just too much for words.

Best wishes,

Mark

I live about 5kms from the Stadium in Fortaleza so I think its going to be quite crazy here to say the least.

I was living here in 2002 when Brazil won the cup and for the last two games it was like a war zone and the games were on another continent.. Imagine what it is going to be like in 2014??

All things are true. Brazil is an outstanding and beautiful country in South America. Well, I agree with you Mark that FIFA announced that next (2014) soccer world cup will be played in Brazil and people will travel there in huge number because Brazil is a number one team in the world and football loving nation.
