Default rurrenabaque and sorata

I spent 3 weeks in Santa Rosa, a small town 4 hours away from Rurrenabaque, and had a the time of my life there. Although the jungle tours you book in Rurre come to Santa Rosa, the starting point of the tour, you can't book a tour in Santa Rosa. I also spent 3 days in Sorata which is very, very beautiful. Both are a must see when you are in Bolivia.

The big problem with these two destination is that you travel on the well known Bolivian death roads to get there and... you're going to be there during the rainy season. The roads to Rurrenabaque and Sorata are very dangerous in the rainy season, accidents are a common thing. Roads may be unaccessible or just too dangerous. Ask fellow backpackers how road conditions are before traveling to Rurrenabaque and Sorata.
