Default Amazon basin

Santa Rosa, Bolivia

Hi deec,

The Amazon basin stretches out over a lot of countries in South America. To see an abundance of wildlife I can highly recommend taking a tour in Rurrenabaque in Bolivia. The tour operator will drive from there to Santa Rosa. In Santa Rosa you will embark on a motorized canoe and tour for 3 days. I myself went straight to Santa Rosa and stayed there for 3 weeks hanging out with locals (what beautiful times those were!).

From Santa Rosa I went to Trinidad and cruised with a river boat for 7 days to the border of Brazil (the only gringo on board).

I've heard some good things about the Pantanal in Brazil. Although I've been in the area I didn't take a tour myself.

For the Amazon river the city of Manaus in Brazil is the place to be to shop for a tour. I'll add a page of the Amazon river soon.

Let me know if something else is bugging you!

Best wishes,

Mark
